Retreat FAQS



How do I book in?   Simply send an email to dizzyizzy@y7mail.com to register your interest. We will reserve your spot and send you information on how to direct deposit your $50 deposit, plus a registration form for you to return.

How do I pay?  You can pay by Direct Deposit, through our webstore, via PayPal or Cheque.   Contact Dizzy Izzy for more details.  Please note, you will need to pay in full prior to the retreat.

What  if I need to cancel? If you cancel with more than1 months notice, we will be happy to refund any payments you have made, less your $50 non refundable deposit. If you cancel after this time, refunds will not be made unless your vacant retreat spot is able to be filled. 

Who will I be sharing a room with?  Please let us know on your registration form who you preferred room friends are, and we will try to accommodate where possible. All rooms are either 3 or 4 person share, with a bathroom in each room.

What should I bring?  Just like a regular holiday, pack your clothes, pajamas, toiletries, etc.  You don’t need to dress up, so wear whatever is comfortable to scrap in. Don’t forget bed linen (or a sleeping bag), a towel  and a bathmat.  You will need to bring your own scrapbooking supplies, photos and consumables.  All meals from supper Friday night to lunch Sunday will be provided, but you may want to bring some drinks and snacks .  Most importantly, bring your sense of humour and a smile!

What time should I arrive/leave?  You can arrive anytime from 7pm on Friday night. Don’t forget to BYO dinner or eat before you come.   We ask that you are packed up and out of your room by 10am, but you can stay and scrap until 2pm Sunday in the scraproom. Please finalise your ‘scrap account’ with the store by 1pm.

Will there be classes to do? Yes we will have classes, run by experienced scrapbook teachers. These will be finalised closer to the retreat, and we will let you know what you need to bring. Every attendee will have the opportunity to do at least one class. Class tuition will be free, you will just pay for the kit.

Will you have stock to buy? YES! We will have our Dizzy Izzy store open, with cardstock and papers, ribbons and other lovely embellishments to buy. You can run a ’scrap account’ over the weekend and pay when you check out on Sunday afternoon.

What if I am a beginner scrapbooker?  Welcome! We will cater to all scrapbooking levels,  with classes and make n’ takes that you are sure to enjoy! There will be plenty of experienced scrappers on hand to give you advice and guidance.

How will your swaps table work?  We will have a small table set up in the classroom area for people to leave their unwanted or unloved scrap items that they think others might like. You can then take any other items that you like. PLEASE not broken items and no rubbish—good scrapping karma only! And remember the swaps table is a resource for all scrappers to share.
